Well, here goes nothing….

Well here goes nothing!….. hahaha. I hope all who are going to read this blog will first off realize that although i did go to college, I was not a literature major. haha so please just keep that in mind when it comes to my writing, because, “as my mom would say i write like I speak!” but anyways, i’m really excited to be able to bring people a little behind the scenes and show them the fun we have together off the ice!

As i sit here a little nervous because, flat out i’m just not good at writing!!! but i like to think i could talk to anyone, even probably get the beefeaters (the royal british guards that never move or talk) to chat a bit with me!! hahaha but we are now starting to wind down with training camp. this is always a good feeling, not that ya don’t like to work hard….but just nice to get to have some fun with the new guys, and get to know them and call them by nicknames like sleezy( aaron lee), and sweazey (matt sweazey) and baumer (stacey bauman) and beaut (topher scott) not bash there heads in while battling in the corners against them.

Its good to  be back though… gilly still has his vicious flip with the puck, one that keeps everyone alert… even the zamboni guys, cause you just never know where he might put the puck when he’s passing or dumping them in the zones for drills!! haha and coach brooks wheeling around out there, actually better than what i feel like i probably look like to people, kinda a kick in the pants actually hahah but i think if i got him in a corner…. i’d be able to get out with the puck. One rapp on the “no shin pad shins” and i’m dancing out of the corner! hahaha but it is really good to have that aspect of training camp back in our lives for a nice long while.

Our team though for all the fans is looking good!! i think we have alot of great people back from last year! after being in a sport for pretty much my whole life, you realize that the core of a team is by far the most important part and i think we have a great group of core leaders back. The new additions to the team have a lot of skill and speed as well!!! Last year we had good team speed and i think this year we’re even faster!! should be fun to have a fast paced game for you all to watch and listen to as rich will try to spit the names out like a rapper would were moving so fast!! hahaha good luck big guy!! hahah

I’d like to also tell everyone that in this blog i’d like to post some picture to keep it exciting and something for people to look forward too! so send me any pictures you have from games or appearences the bee’s do, and i will pick some to put on the website ZAKM@KILLERBEEHOCKEY.COM! also i’m a fan of fun clips and pics, so i just may put one on each blog whether it deals with hockey or not! haha maybe something we all laugh at in the locker room or just maybe me and wylie do in our apt! so be ready!!!!

So in closing my first blog of my life… still cracks me up that i get to do this haha i’ excited to say that i think this year will be a fun year to be in the hive enjoying the BUZZ! don’t mind the PUN!!! hahaha but get excited for saturday and get your tickets and play ted nugent fred bear the rest of the week cause come saturday we get to, “get that buck!” hahaha cheesy eh! ;)

here’s a clip wylie showed me…… he’s been sitting in his room working on it for any promotion he gets so… if ya see him ask him about seeing it!! hahahah hah

Glad to see so much friendly camaraderie and laughs at camp. Always knew the first ever 4 yr dufus winner would fit in well with the Killer Bee organization. I hope you look to a guy like me for inspiration on those long bus trips up to Tulsa late in the season. Trust me – Im sure there will always be diversity through the course of the year but when you are ever considering hanging em up just remember …. we make too go# d$@n much money to ever think about it.

    Your friend.

Heard a lot of things going on down there in Hidalgo. Listen, been talking to some of the boys here in Dallas and if you can put a string of wins together we are willing to match that nice bonus you got structured down there. Remember, every point counts ;)

Hello from East Lansing, Mi.! I’m a Spartan alumni and had student tickets until I graduated in 2008. I remember seeing your video clips of you singing before games. I think your band was called “Zak and the Macs” maybe? I didn’t realize you actually played hockey, I just thought you were the team’s media guy. Great to see you having success. Keep working your way up and we’ll see you in a Wings jersey in a couple years!!!!

Greetings from McAllen and congrats on the new blog. Must be very exciting for you and Im sure your writing will improve with time. My wife and I are huge fans/supporters of the team and look forward to a long playoff run this season. I see you make mention in your blog about going into the corners with one of the coaches during training camp. Now is this just warm up drill or something that just occurs in training camp ? We made it down to Dodge Arena for 15-20 home games last season and certainly didn’t see much of you in the corners.

    Best of Luck this season.
