LISTEN LIVE: BEES HOST BUCKS TONIGHT

The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees return to the State Farm Arena tonight playing host to the Laredo Bucks. The Bees are coming off a four-point weekend with a pair of victories over the Brahmas. Most recently the Bees fell to Texas on Sunday by a 4-2 score.

In the defeat the Bees received goals from AJ Mikkelsen and Aaron Lee but it was not enough as the third period rally fell short. For Lee it was his 17th goal of the season. In between the pipes Wylie Rogers made 23 saves on 26 shots.

The Killer Bees are 3-2-1 against the Bucks this season and sport a 2-0-0 record at the State Farm Arena. The Bees and Bucks are set to face-off 17 times this season including  11 of the Bees final 31 games.

Due to the Killer Bees four-point weekend against the Brahmas forward Tomas Klempa was named the Oakley CHL Player of the Week. Klempa has been hot beyond just this week, in his last five games Tomas has eight points (five goals and three assists) and in his last ten games has 14 points (nine goals and five assists).
