The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees travel to Texas for a critical weekend series with the Texas Brahmas tonight and tomorrow at the NYTEX Sports Centre. The Bees look to snap a four game losing streak as the battle for a playoff spot in the Berry Conference.

The Bees most recently fell to the Evansville IceMen in their second straight battle by a 3-1 score. Evansville held a 2-1 lead when the Bees pulled Wylie Rogers and an empty net goal cemented the win for Evansville.

Tomas Klempa scored the lone Bees goal as the Klempa-Campos-Gendur line continues to produce. In the last five games since Brandon Campos returned from injured reserve those three players have combined for 24 of the Bees 49 points and 11 of the Bees 17 goals.

The Killer Bees are in the midst of a tight playoff battle with the Texas Brahmas and the Tulsa Oilers. The Bees sit four points behind Tulsa for the final playoff spot with no games against the Oilers remaining.
