Covering the Killer Bees – Media Information
The Killer Bees welcome coverage by writers, broadcasters, bloggers and photographers under the guidelines outlined below. Contact Killer Bees Media Relations at 956-569-6401.

Multimedia Downloads
Photos and audio/video clips are available via download. Specific requests should be be placed via email to media@killerbeehockey.com.

Media Credentials
All requests for credentials must be placed via email to media@killerbeehockey.com at least 24 hours in advance of the game. Phone and fax requests will not be accepted. Upon acceptance of application, appropriate credentials are held for pickup at the Stage Door Entrance (west side of arena near large overhead garage door). Credentials must be visible and worn at all times. Please be aware of pucks leaving the playing surface; admittance is at your own risk.

Press Box
Working press facilities are located on the southwest side of State Farm Arena above Section 104. Elevators are located near the team pro shop behind Section 111 and near the VIP Lounge behind Sections 119/120.

Working press is assigned space in the working area.

The press box is a working press box and under CHL rules any cheering is strictly prohibited. Abuse of working media credentials will be grounds for removal from the press box and could result in the rejection of future credential requests.

Game Night Services
Game notes, lineups and stat summaries are available in the press box. Wireless internet access is available for accredited media; see a press box attendant for login information. Soft drinks will be available. A pre-game meal is available in the backstage dining room from approximately 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Restrooms are located in the hallway adjacent to the press box.

Live Scoring
Live scoring updates, league standings and statistics are available via www.pointstreak.com.

Broadcasts
The CHL has live online video broadcasts of every game. For media access, please email media@killerbeehockey.com. The Killer Bees broadcast every game on local radio (102.1 FM) and make every game available online (audio only) free of charge. Games are also broadcast inside the arena on 93.5 FM.

Killerbeehockey.com
Updated releases, statistics, game notes, videos, etc. are available on the official web site of the Killer Bees. Game notes are usually posted by the morning of each game.

Interviews/Practice Coverage
A weekly update of practice times/locations and other information will be made available each Monday to members of the media.

Be aware that practices may run shorter or longer than scheduled. Normal practice time is 10 a.m.

The coaching staff and players are available immediately following practice on a first-come, first-serve basis for short comments. Please make arrangements in advance if a specific player is needed.

NO PLAYER OR COACH ACCESS IS PERMITTED BEFORE PRACTICE.

Longer interview requests must be arranged in advance. Players and coaches are generally available during the week between 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. depending on practice, game and travel schedules.

Practice is open. All B-roll must be shot from the stands. NO BENCH ACCESS IS ALLOWED WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL. Please be aware of pucks leaving the playing surface; admittance to practice is at your own risk.

Post-game procedures
Coach Brooks and players will be available to answer questions OUTSIDE the Killer Bees locker room following a post-game 10-minute cooling-off period.

With the exception of live television broadcasts, players are not available until the conclusion of the cooling-off period. A team staff member will be available to help facilitate interviews.

Interviews with the visiting coach and players should be arranged through the visiting media relations director.

Broadcast Locations
Radio and TV broadcast locations are on the catwalk, accessible from a door adjacent to the press box. Phone lines and Internet are available. ISDN is available on a per-game basis, billable to the team using it. A line-level, XLR mix of ambient audio (ice-level mics) is provided. Runners will provide statistics during each intermission. Additional requests must be made prior to the game with the press box attendant.

Television
Television stations shooting highlights are asked to shoot from the broadcast catwalk or from behind the west goal.

Photographers
Credentialed photographers may shoot anywhere in the building that does not obstruct the view of fans. Arrangements may be made to shoot from the penalty box area at ice level for a maximum of one period.
